Temperature control
In order to control the container environment the Star Cool
reefer machine offers different solutions for providing the optimal
cargo care and fulfilling government requirements for treatment of
perishable cargoes. It is done by offering a more extensive control
of the environment in the container.
Multiple Temperature Set points
(MTS)
MTS is a programme that enables the user to set up to 6
different set point temperatures. The programme is especially
needed when the cargo is required to ripen during transport or when
the following handling of the cargo requires it to arrive at a
different temperature than transport temperature.
MTS ensures that you can provide perfect conditions for the cargo
by enabling more accurate control and possible variations.
It is possible to set parameters for duration, temperature and
de-humidification set point.
Maintaining an overview of all aspects when setting, checking and
controlling MTS is only possible because of our unique display that
enables the user to see all information at once - without any
keystrokes.
Cold treatment (CT)
CT is a programme that carries out a required
sequence of temperatures prior to unloading a cargo. The
purpose of the programme is to establish an environment in the
container that eliminates the risk of insects in perishable
cargoes.
When a container arrives at its destination containing a perishable
cargo without having undergone a Cold Treatment during transport -
many countries will put the container in quarantine until
a Cold treatment has been completed.
The Star Cool CT fulfils USDA and other
relevant regulations. Our unique display enables officials and
users to verify status and outcome simultaneously. At one glance
the correct procedure can be controlled.
The display shows duration of treatment, maximum allowed cargo
temperature, treatment set point and final temperature.
